Hello, thanks for your interest in working on this task. Could you upload the .blend file as a zip so I can look at it? Thanks in advance.

The .zip
file only contains a .png
.
By the way. If you wish to contribute to 0 A.D's art you need to sign the legal waiver. https://wildfiregames.com/forum/topic/16802-legal-waiver-please-read-this-before-contributing/

Here are some tweaks you can try. Might be easier to do this over the forums.

Hey,
Sorry for the very delayed answer. I usually miss art posts on Trac, it's usually better to go through the forums for those and to create a ===[TASK]=== Gharial
thread in official art tasks subforums.
1560 tris is still a lot. Also we don't support separated objects, so you'll have to join RetopoFlow.001
and RetopoFlow
(CTRL + J)
I think you can still save a lot of polygons on the mouth and really extract the essence of the actual shape.
Maybe the body can be less round I mean, you'll almost never see below the gharial.
Thanks for keeping it up :)
According to the wikipedia page this actually isn't violent towards humans and is mainly a predator of small fish hence the narrow mouth. So should this just be a critter that is non aggressive or should a different Indian native crock be used instead?
