In the attached replay that works with alpha 20 and 21 (r18724), a woman (entity ID 207) of the blue player gathered from the initial berries and took a big detour to dropoff the resources.
It's different from #1468 since there is no height difference here (map mainland).

Although I am reluctant to close this, because it cannot be verified easily, the pathfinder/unit motion has become much better in the course of A24. The replay itself can't be used anymore (also with adaptations I couldn't get it to play properly).

It looks like the short-ranged (we should call it shortsighted actually :P) pathfinder is making mistakes - just by the looks of it, I didn't actually replay the file.
