Description

My welcome screen has been displaying abnormally since I updated Windows. It is this: "Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 (KB4023057)" My PC is running Windows 10 Home Edition 32-bit. So far there has been no other problems. At first the game music still played even after I exited the game, it only stopped when I ended the process pyrogenesis.exe Now this issue is suddenly gone, but the welcome screen is still not displaying properly. (You can see it in the file I attach)

Hey,

What is you current resolution ? It looks like the game is zoomed in. You can disable the zoom by right clicking on the desktop and changing the value of the zoom in the resolution parameters.

The minimum resolution the game supports is 1024x768

That should be the UserReporter thing waiting for Philips server which sometimes hangs. We have (more than) one ticket for that.

The zoom part indeed looks like either some windows setting or some incorrectly configured window screen size in the config (blind guess)

The smallest resolution supported is 1024x768, see https://play0ad.com/download/. If the window is smaller than the minimum that we support, then GUI objects will either overlap or not be shown. The screenshot has the size 1366px * 768px.

I would assume that you increased the guiscale in the config option, which due to the zooming effect, proportionally reduces the smallest resolution supported. It's intended for high res anyhow.

In case you still experience this issue, try removing the "guiscale" from your config files (or delete all config files in case you dont have a lobby account), see GameDataPaths.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
