Description
I'm not even sure it's a bug but if I want to shift-click multiple units I have to release and press shift every time, which makes it inconvenient to use.

The idea of the button is that if you click the button without pressing a key, it trains one unit. If the masstraining hotkey is pressed. it will increase the number of units trained with every click and starts the training upon release of the key.
If that works the same way on your end, then it's not a platform bug. You would like that it starts to train after the first shiftclick? That would remove the abilitry to increase the batchsize further before training (which would come with advantages as greater batches are trained in a proportionally shorter amount of time).
Please clarify the description and we can reopen this!

Hello xylophone,
In order to properly assess your issue, I need to know what operating system you use. Key handling is very different from OS to OS.
In the meantime you can make a selection square using the mouse.
