    11I guess by hiding the item if its disabled.

     3Edit: Or only hide the checkbox. There is the problem that developers often dont know the developer tools and ask for them to work even when they should not (cheats disabled) or can't work (not a player selected). So perhaps a tooltip could clarify that.
