Description (last modified by )
Currently maps have all their files in the main folders. It would be nice to have a seperate folder per map, for their specific files, as noted on Phab:D1660. This may also ease distribution of maps (just copy-pasta a folder).
Placing maps in folders won't cut it, they just won't be seen anymore (without errors though). So the core engine needs work too.
The following might help on where to start which was reported on IRC Chat:
[14:00] <@Stan> One thing I know for sure is the C++ part in atlas will need changes
[14:01] <@Stan> Then likely the mapreader code being c++ means that changes are needed there

I'm unsure if this is actually such a good idea. If a map depends on biome files, would the map then be bundled with those files ? (i.e. there would be a lot of duplicated files) or would it not (in which case there would be no easy copy paste possible ?)
