Minimap polygon bug on some maps

When playing the maps "Farmland (2)" and "Vesuvius (6)" on the SVN version , I noticed that the polygon on the minimap is much larger and appears to be out of place. On other maps e.g. "Median Oasis (4)" the problem cannot be reproduced. I have not tested all the maps, if I find more I will update this ticket.
The bug can be reproduced for the "Farmland (2)" and "Vesuvius (6)" map on A24b.
EDIT1: I also noticed this strange behaviour with the scenario map "Combat Demo (Huge)" and it is also reproducible with A24b.
I think Langbart's onto something, and I think it makes perfect sense that that line's why the view-polygon's appears incorrect.
The polygon should probably be the intersection of the camera view frustrum and the *ground* plane (such as it is), not the *water* plane.
