Description (last modified by )
"http://docs.microsoft.com/windows/msix"; and: "http://github.com/microsoft/msix-packaging"; and: "http://firefox-source-docs.mozilla.org/browser/installer/windows/installer/MSIX.html".
Utilisation of MSIX would allow installation to be much more easy for users of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, because of "http://docs.microsoft.com/windows/msix/msix-core/msixcore", and for Windows 10 and Windows 11 because of their native support of MSIX.
Utilisation of MSIX would allow installation by pseudo-package-managers that are smiliar to "http://github.com/microsoft/winget-cli" to install packages without the possibility of corruption that execution of the current installer is able to cause every time that the package is replaced during replacement.

Hi there,
I am a bit puzzled by your suggestion. Currently you can install 0 A.D. on Windows using the following methods:
- by using the installers provided on releases.wildfiregames.com
- by using the installers provided on itch.io
- by using Chocolatey.org the package manager
- by using the SVN version on a specific revision
The installer is created using NSIS, by a macOS VM, so I'm pretty sure you cannot build an APPX there.

APPX is not MSIX, because APPX is the precursor to MSIX. Additionally, "http://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/msix/how-to-use-msix-on-a-mac/m-p/966576/highlight/true#M1658" explains how to create MSIX packages via macOS.

Summary: | Please do release as MSIX format. → Please release as MSIX. |
Achievement of this would allow me to replace the package that has been submitted for "http://github.com/microsoft/winget-pkgs/issues/35468".
