  1. Open the mod directory in your file explorer
    • For Windows: C:\Users\JohnDoe\Documents\My Games\0ad\mods
    • For Mac OS X: ~/Library/Application\ Support/0ad/mods
    • For Linux: ~/.local/share/0ad/mods
  2. In the mods directory, add a new directory called "east-asian-locales"
  3. Download the east-asian-locales-0.0.16.zip file from [LINK HERE], and save it inside that east-asian-locales directory you made. The file structure should look like 0ad/mods/east-asian-locales/east-asian-locales-0.0.16.zip.
  4. Now you can launch the game with your mod by appending a -mod=east-asian-locales option to the executable. Edit the 0 A.D. shortcut to include -mod=east-asian-locales (see the example on Windows with a generic "testmod"), so you always launch your game with the right language support.

When you launch that game, you should be able to select the included East Asian locales (currently Japanese) by going to Tools & Options -> Language.

If you have problems, please contact us in English on our forums, or #0ad on QuakeNet IRC
