Closing as a fairly vague and duplicate ticket.

The first issue (speeding up) is a feature. Units run to catch up. The idea is eventually each unit will have stamina, and running will deplete that stamina.
Both issues (speeding up and getting stuck by animal) should be fixed though when the new path finder is completed (hopefully).
I'll leave this open, but in the Backlog, until the new path finder is completed.
