  • Ticket #5259 – Description

    initial v1
11There is currently no way to scale an actor in-game. This would be a useful feature as it allows meshes to be reused at different scales. Allowing an easier way of creating different actor variants which contain props at a different scale.[[BR]][[BR]]It would also be useful for mods which would be able to Scale units after a technology has been researched.[[BR]][[BR]]There is a precedent for it. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6hg-NvoZVw Age of Mythology] and [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ka90DTIBucI Warcraft III] both had unit scaling.

3 I propose adding a <scale> tag to the Actorxmlspecification format and in the VisualActor component.[[BR]][[BR]]I have discussed the issue here: [[BR]][wiki:"wiki:I have discussed here: https://wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?/topic/24616-question-how-to-scale-animated-actors/" https://wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?/topic/24616-question-how-to-scale-animated-actors/]
