Hello,
Love the game! However, lately, my units aren't able to self-defend or attack opponents when attacked (playing locally against the computer). They only move but the right-click 'attack' function doesn't appear.
That is when I am attacked in my own territory, so everyone just dies... it's sad & would be great if you could fix it. Thank you! (how do I get updates pushed to my local game?)

Thanks for your quick response. I’m aware that women can’t attack . I’ve been playing for a while and only recently male soldiers can’t attack / defend. They only passively stand even when mode changed to “aggressive” and right clicked on foreign units (which doesn’t work). That is after the bell was rung & womenbarricaded. Thanks

Which version of the game have you been using? The latest release or the developer version (svn or git)? If it was the developer version, which revision were you using? (e.g. svn info command)
Uploading a replay of (menu -> singleplayer -> replays) would allow the Wildfire Games developers to reproduce the issue.
("recently" and "lately" sounds a lot like a bug from few commits ago, and that units dont attack when attacked sounds like a range query bug which should narrow down significantly)

As elexis pointed out, we really need the replay for that game and whether you are playing the development version (either using SVN, git or snap). It really smells like another bug in a recent commit of mine, but I've played a dozen player vs PetraAI games since and did not notice this issue. Were you using any mod?

The problem didn't happen the last two times I played (against more than one other tribe and I slightly changed the setting). I am not sure I can find the right ones where it happened. I will try and reproduce it and share it as soon as it will happen again. Sorry about that! I am playing Apla XXIII: Ken Wood, Build: 13 Dec 2018, 21946MP-release. That's all the information I can see and I believe the Petra bot was creating the problem. Will be in touch as soon as I have the issue.

Sounds like the units are set to passive stance.

No, even when set to 'aggressive' the right click attack trigger doesn't work in the scenario described.

Hello,
OK, I was able to reproduce the error. I can see the file path of the replay file but can't find it on my mac... Library/Application support/0AD/replays/0.0.23/2020-09-05_0001 any tips? I searched the file name and the path and followed it to no avail.

According to wiki:GameDataPaths#OSX 0AD is not caps? (So it should be 0ad.)

I can't to continue game after loading from this gamesave. Just because my units won't attack at all. Alarm on city center doesn't help. Changing formation or aggression level doesn't help too. So for me this battle fully broken and failed (((
It's not first my game when my units won't attack. Periodically I stuck to such problem. Any kind of units won't attack. But healers can heal.
My hypothesis about bug: I restored from savegame several times in this game session (battle). Maybe this is source of problem? (incorrect restoration from savegame or incorrect storing game state to savegame)?
Unfortunatelly game replays doesnt work properly for games which was restored from savegame. So no reason to attach replays

thx, the replays are indeed not continued after a save/load, however they still contain all data to reproduce the events happened in game. Which will help debugging. The fact that the replay-menu can't load the replays (since they are fragmented), is only a only nuisance, not a big deal.

But this issue can be reproduced by loading attached savegame. Moreover i suspect that problem initiated after loading from savegame

The reason your units don't attack the yellow player is the fact that you are neutral with him (see the diplomacy screen, ring like icon in top bar). Setting that back to enemy results in units attacking here. Attacking the red player also works.
You probably set this somewhere, could dig through replays to find when.

Do you mean the women? If so they cannot fight back you need to raise the alarm in the civic center.
