macOS BigSur - missing polygon on minimap

Description
A user named 'Hakkai05' reported via IRC 0ad chat (20/Mar/21), that he is unable to see the "red polygon" on the minimap in A24b. The image below shows an image of mine (Langbart) on macOS 10.15.7 and an image of 'Hakkai05' on macOS 11.12.3.
(I'm just creating the ticket so the bug will not be forgotten.)

A user with the nick rollieoo reported via direct message in the forum that he can see the minimap polygon with a 2015 MBP (2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 Dual-Core) running macOS 11.2.3

A user with the nick seb reported on the trac ticket #6268 (5/Aug/21) that he can see the minimap polygon with a 2018 MBP (Intel Core i7-8750H @ 2.20GHz (1x6x2), 2.21 GHz).

A user shared an image over IRC 0ad (25/Sep/21) showing an issue with a red line across the game window, the issue was assigned ticket #6335.
In the shared screenshot, the red polygon is not visible on the minimap. The user left IRC without giving any details about the hardware, saying only that he uses Alpha25 on macOS Bigsur.
