What are your config settings like, have you modified any, especially graphics settings? If you attach mainlog.html, it will show all the settings loaded by the game.

    11Alpha 17 release: When playing any map the text in the static GUI fields, the drop-down menu, and in the pop-up boxes will suddenly vanish. The game is still playable, and does not emit any error indications.
