General game menus disappear during a game

Description
This is a very annoying bug which doesn't make the game crash but makes the game impossible to play. During some games, the general game menus, that is, all the info displayed on the header on top of the screen (including the resources and the "Menu" button), suddenly disappear and are not displayed any more.
I play on Windows 8.0. My computer has got an Intel Core i5 and a Radeon Graphics video card. I encountered this bug while playing with the map "Criques méditerranéennes" in French (probably something like "Mediterranean coves" en English, I assume). The bud occurred hardly ten or fifteen minutes after I started to play. I was exploring the top of the map with a horseman. I had found several resource treasures and was on the verge of meeting the enemy for the first time.
This is my first message here, I hope this bug report is useful. I can provide more info if necessary. Thanks again to everyone at Wildfire Games and every contributor here for the hard and impresive work on this game. Bugs are quite rare.

No, I did not press any key. Also, the GUI on top of the screen is not hidden in its entirety (like it would be when ALT+G is pressed), but every text and info is hidden and only the empty bar is left, so one can see neither the amounts of resources nor the menu button. If I click where the "Menu" button would be, the menu unfolds, but without any text. I will try to get a screenshot of this.

I see this problem before in water maps, has been reported so this ticket may be market as duplicated.
But we need found the other report ticket.

Which version of the game you have? Because I had this problem but not anymore.

This is indeed the "Mediterranean Cove" map, so there is plenty of water. The menus never come back to normal display once the bug occurs.
I play with Alpha XVII Quercus. I will try and update to the latest version, and see if the problem still occurs on this map.

The fix was included in A18.
Did you press ALT+G? That shortcut hides the GUI so you can take nicer screenshots. You can press it again to show the GUI.
