Cannot set pulseaudio sink

Description (last modified by Jeee)

I'm using ubuntu 15.10 wily, and 0ad alpha19 from the PPA. 0ad is playing sound via pulseaudio. For every other application I can set the sink its audio is played at dynamically. i.e. via ubuntus' sound configuration, I can select a different sink & immediately all audio will be rerouted. However, 0ad always sticks to the sink that was selected when it started.

I have the same issue on 16.04 with ppa:wfg/0ad

Apparently this is an issue with OpenAL setting the "NO_MOVE" flag for the audio stream. Work around it by creating ~/.alsoftrc containing

[pulse]
allow-moves=yes

Thanks for providing a fix. A19 is old now and some fixes have been committed for sound detection feel free to reopen it if you experience the same issue but the above fix doesn't work.

Just tried the conf file and can confirm that that enables changing sinks.

So it's fixed ? :)

LOL. It's the first time I had to use that to change a sink. I think something needs to be changed in 0ad so it works normally by default...
