After I installed Ubuntu 18.04 on my PC (I used Ubuntu 16.04 until some weeks ago) the anonymous feedback feature is not working anymore. Every time I open 0AD I get "Status: upload failed (301)".

I do not understand why this was closed it is still an issue on Linux Mint 19.1 Tessa. Could you please update the status of this ticket. I am receiving the same error on my machine.

Do you use said new version Alpha 23b (released december 23rd 2018)? That has the UserReporter server that supports HTTPS.
HTTP is disabled now, and HTTP will not be supported anymore, because the data should be encrypted or not sent to meet GDPR privacy expectation a bit better.

Oh, thank you for that. Sorry for the miscommunication. I downloaded the more stable as instructed by the 0AD website for linux Bionic. It was major version XXII. I have now downloaded the latest release through the ppa. Thank you.
The server redirects to HTTPS now, but redirects are disabled in the alpha 23 first release. (
curl_easy_setopt(m_Curl, CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION, 0L);
)The feedback service will work with HTTPS / SSL encryption in the next release.
