I can't load the game. Message appears: ERROR: Deserialization failed: Deserialize_OutOfBounds
and
"Failed to load game state. It might have been saved with an incompatible version of the game"
Certainly not. The game has been saved on the same version of the game and the system, and the same computer.
Linux Mint 17.3 0 a.d build: feb 19 2014 - 14386 release.
Should I download the newer version? What should I do?

Thank you for the quick reply. I downloaded a recommended version and everything works perfectly. The whole game runs much faster and the error no longer occurs. Thank you once again for help :)

r14386 is alpha 18. Are you actually sure that the savegame comes from alpha 18? It was released in march 2015, so maybe that savegame comes from before that?
Alpha 19 has been released some weeks ago. It also has a version check now, so it doesn't attempt to load savegames of old versions.
Please use a19, since we don't support 18 anymore. You can easily get it for ubuntu (linux mint) here: https://play0ad.com/download/linux/#a0A.D.providedpackages
If the problem persists, upload the a19 savegame please.
