Pyromod files are not listed in the mod selection page on macOS

Description
macOS users such as HMS-Surprise and mo have reported that pyromod files they downloaded and put into a subdirectory of the mods directory are not listed in the mod selection page.
At least mo could use the mod after renaming it to *zip.
