Description
I decided to investigate gameboy's bug : http://wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=20007
In my case the roman cavalry successfully kill the gazelle, but is making huge leaps forward after each attack to catch up with it. I guess this has to do with the fact it can't attack and move at the same time.

This has been the case for alpha 18 too, if not even way more releases.
The idea behind spear cavalry is (see unit stats), that it can attack only every 3.5 seconds. After one hit, it just waits. It's the same if you attack enemies.

The pathfinder bug has been fixed.
Yes, it is not realistic that cavalry stops to attack. But usually it would have to stop after attacking to do another attack, so it might be not too far off.
The 3,5 second stop will be in there either way. If someone is planning to rewrite the functionality of melee cavalry, it should be planned well and not based on that forum thread.
